In the Valley of Elah
Saw Paul Haggis' new movie tonight, and I'll be writing a review for the Daily Trojan soon enough.
For now, all I want to say is that the film's final shot is one of such utter obviousness that all you can do is shake your head in disbelief.

I caught it too. Right when Jones explained the significance of the symbol within the first 10 minutes, it was just a matter of waiting for it to show up.

Hey John, I saw the movie this morning. Yes, the ending shot did seem to be telegraphed but I wonder how much I was looking for it after reading your post. Won't say anything else about the film before we have filed our respective reviews except for what was with that bizarre topless bartender scene?
