In my opinion, here are some that you missed:
Day For Night (1973)
Contempt (1963)
12 Angry Men (1957)
Spellbound (1945)
High Noon (1952)
Those are a few that popped into my head. Also, while I can maybe let the LOTR trilogy slide since it is really one continuous story, I dunno 'bout putting the original Star Wars trilogy as one film. They were each a single self contained story so I feel like they are 3 separate movies. But that's just me
James: I'm impressed that you ranked your whole list. I don't believe I could ever force myself to do that. Playtime has strangely gotten better each time I think about it. I didn't know you loved Persona so much (Fanny and Alexander is my favorite Bergman film). I still don't "get" L'Avventura, Au Hasard Balthazar, and Viridiana. Oh well. It's good to hear from you... how have you been? What are you up to these days?
Conor: I haven't seen Day for Night, Spellbound, or High Noon. As for Contempt and 12 Angry Men, they're both very good movies that would be somewhere on my "Second 100 Favorite Films" list.
Doin' alright, actually. Busy, busy . . . for the most part. There was a method behind how I did this list. It wasn't done on a whim - it actually took me quite a long time to construct. Anyways, a friend and I have a website called www.neverfearstudios.com where we're basically posting our material, future projects, and a bunch of other features currently in the works. Check it out! If you go into the 'about us' section, you can click my name and shoot me an e-mail. I'd love to hear what you think of our current short.
